Poker Calculator Announcement: Holdem Pirate and Hold’em Hawk Barred by Poker Stars
November 9th, 2012 by Miranda

Since the Party Poker collapse last fall, Poker Stars has come forth as the undeniable head in absolute quantities of on line poker players. They have the largest tournaments, the most active tables, the biggest money games, along with the fastest filling sit and go tournaments on-line. With that comes strength – the strength to choose your associates, affiliates, and nearer to our point; acceptable computer software.

Long have I been suggesting Hold em Hawk and Holdem Pirate (they’re really the same) poker calculators as easy to use and visibly attractive poker calculators. Lately though, these products have pushed the limits of suitable use, at least within the view of Poker Stars, and therefore have been prohibited from use on that site. This is sad news, as a good product, not unlike a few of the acceptable computer software authorized by Stars, is now virtually grounded because the biggest poker internet site on the planet thinks it’s too closely connected to an Operative Poker Calculator.

An Operative Poker Calculator is just like a secret agent working for you, accumulating and mining player data that it is possible to use on them at a later date. The factor is, you do not have to be at the table for this to take place. The software program (database) is working all the time for you. For the majority of poker sites, that’s over the line of fairness, just as in actual life as well.

Except Holdem Pirate and Hold em Hawk are really Empirical Poker Calculators, just the same as Holdem Indicator is. These varieties of poker calculators only acquire data on your opponents when you are at the table, just like you had been betting in a live situation.

So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here’s an actual warning I was sent from Poker Stars whilst running Hold em Pirate:

Following an assessment of your account, we find that you’re running an external application recognizedas Poker Sherlock, or its associated applications, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Hold em Hawk and Holdem Pirate……PokerStars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, including immediately preventing access to the Games to such User, terminating such User’s account with PokerStars and seizing all funds held within the relevant Poker Stars "real money account".

Hey, did you observe the "seizing all monies" line? That is what you are able to do when you are this huge!

The "related applications" is the origin of the difficulty. The corporation that designed Hawk and Pirate also make Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. In fact, I believe that Stars suspects Hawk and Pirate really gather data for these associated products, although looking like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.

So therein sits the heart of the difficulty. Should you take place to bet on on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you’re out of luck, as I have tried to reverse this ruling. I received a considerate response from the staff members at Poker Stars, except genuinely, it isn’t likely to alter. The excellent news though is that Hold em Indicator has been added to Poker Stars appropriate software checklist, and it is the only empirical calculator to be accepted by them.
