Newcomer Tactics for Pai Gow Poker
August 30th, 2019 by Miranda

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the west in a fantastic game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers wager against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players do not have to fret about other, more experienced people taking their money.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the generally leisurely game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without having to make quick selections.

It is also easier to wager on for a long time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the house is dealt seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and a two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
